Trivia

  • This was Sunny Deol's first and only film as a director, though he had previously directed a Punjabi film.
  • The movie's climax was shot at the historic Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, a rare location for a 90s Bollywood film.
  • Urmila Matondkar was initially considered for the female lead before the role went to debutante Shilpa Shetty.
  • The film's soundtrack, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, marked the music trio's first full collaboration for a Hindi movie.
  • Despite starring two major stars, the film was a commercial disappointment at the box office upon its release.
  • A subplot involving the brothers' childhood struggles was reportedly more detailed in early scripts but was shortened.
  • The title 'Dillagi' was also the name of a 1949 Bollywood film starring Dilip Kumar and Nargis.
