• Dillagi (1999) was Sunny and Bobby's first film together, but it almost didn't happen. Sunny was initially hesitant to produce a film starring his younger brother, worried people would call it nepotism. Their father Dharmendra pushed them to do it, saying brothers should work together.
• In Apne (2007), Sunny played the aggressive elder brother and Bobby played the quiet, sensitive younger one. That was the exact opposite of their real-life dynamic — Bobby is the louder, more impulsive one off-screen. Sunny told a journalist that swapping roles helped them both find new layers in their performances.
