Sooryavansham(1999)
Sooryavansham is a 1999 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana. It stars Amitabh Bachchan in a dual role as Thakur Bhanu Pratap Singh and his son Heera, alongside Soundarya, Jayasudha, Rachna Banerjee, Anupam Kher, and Kader Khan. The story follows the strained relationship between a traditional, proud father and his illiterate but devoted son in a rural village setting. The father's harsh treatment and eventual disownment of the son drive the central conflict, leading to a dramatic reconciliation. The film is a remake of the 1997 Tamil film Surya Vamsam. Although it underperformed at the box office, it later gained a strong cult following through frequent television broadcasts on Sony Max. The film was released on 21 May 1999.

Storyline
Thakur Bhanu Pratap Singh despises his illiterate youngest son, Heera, and treats him like a servant. When Heera marries Radha against his father's wishes, Bhanu disowns him. Heera must build a new life from nothing, while still longing for his father's love and acceptance.
