• Soundarya was already a star when she signed Hello Brother (1994), but E. V. V. Satyanarayana was still finding his footing as a director. She agreed to the film only after he narrated the full script to her — something he rarely did for other heroines.
• On the sets of Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu (1996), Soundarya would often rewrite her own lines in Telugu because she felt E. V. V.'s dialogues were too stagey. He let her do it — and then quietly adopted her versions for the final cut.
• Sooryavansham (1999) was the only film in their collaboration that got a Hindi remake — and it became a cult hit on Indian television. That remake exists only because Soundarya pushed E. V. V. to sell the rights after she saw the Telugu version's family appeal.
• After Sooryavansham wrapped, Soundarya and E. V. V. never worked together again — not because of a fallout, but because she told him she wanted to move away from mass entertainers. He reportedly said, 'Then I won't call you again.' And he didn't.
• E. V. V. Satyanarayana once said in an interview: 'Soundarya is the only actress who could make my comedy scenes look serious and my serious scenes look funny — without changing a single line.'
