Chhote Sarkar(1996)
Chhote Sarkar is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Vimal Kumar. The film stars Govinda in a dual role alongside Shilpa Shetty. The story follows Amar Saxena, a businessman who is framed for his uncle's murder. He fakes insanity to avoid prison and is sent to a mental asylum. From there, he plots to expose the real killer and clear his name. The film is inspired by the 1973 Sanjeev Kumar starrer Anhonee. It was released on 22 November 1996 and has a runtime of 149 minutes.

Storyline
Amar Saxena is a rich businessman. A beggar mistakes him for someone else and begs him to visit a dying woman. Amar falls in love with her. But she is a police officer trying to arrest him for murder. Amar must prove his innocence while trapped in a web of lies.
