Trivia
- The film's title 'Stuntman' was inspired by the real-life daredevil image of its lead actor, Akshay Kumar, who performed many of his own stunts in early films.
- This movie marked one of the few times actress Raveena Tandon played a mother to a young child early in her career.
- The film was shot extensively in Pune, capturing the city's landscapes and slum areas to add authenticity to Bajrang's life.
- Director Tinnu Anand incorporated themes of class divide and wrongful accusation, common in 90s action dramas but with a family-centric twist.
- Despite its dramatic plot, the film underperformed at the box office compared to other Akshay Kumar action films of the era.
- The character name 'Bajrang Tiwari' references the Hindu deity Hanuman, known for strength, aligning with the stuntman's fearless persona.
- A subplot involving the daughter Guddi was used to heighten emotional stakes, a narrative choice less common in pure action films of the time.
