The story follows a sheltered young woman from a wealthy family who falls in love with her simple, kind-hearted bodyguard, leading to conflict with her overprotective brothers. The film is a remake of the 1991 Tamil film 'Chinna Thambi' and was also remade in Telugu as 'Chanti' in 1992. 'Anari' was a major commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 1993, and Filmfare listed it as Karisma Kapoor's best film of that year. The film was released on 26 March 1993.

Storyline

A rich young woman named Nandini is locked away by her three brothers. They hire a poor, naive villager named Rama as her bodyguard. Nandini falls in love with him. But her brothers will do anything to keep them apart.
