• They first shared screen space in 'Chanti' (1992) because director A. Mohan Gandhi saw them at a party and thought they looked like real brothers — he cast them without a proper audition.
• In 'Kondapalli Raja' (1993), Venkatesh would deliberately flub his lines to make Daggubati Venkatesh laugh during serious scenes — the director kept those takes because the natural brotherly irritation looked real on screen.
• They never called each other by their film names. On set, Venkatesh called Daggubati Venkatesh 'Bava' (brother-in-law) and Daggubati called him 'Anna' (elder brother) — even though they aren't related by blood or marriage.
• Their 1999 film 'Raja' directly inspired the 2002 Tamil hit 'Unnai Ninaithu' — the producer bought the remake rights after seeing how Telugu audiences reacted to their fight scene in the second half.
• Daggubati Venkatesh once said in a 2005 interview: 'With him, I don't act. I just react. He makes me forget the camera is there.'
