Sahibaan(1993)
Sahibaan is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Ramesh Talwar. The lead cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit. The story follows a poor village girl who rejects a wealthy suitor to stay loyal to her labourer lover. Set in the fictional village of Dhauladhar, the film explores class conflict and the power of true love. It is a modern adaptation of the Punjabi folk tale Mirza Sahibaan. The film features music composed by Shiv-Hari with lyrics by Anand Bakshi. It was shot in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The film received mixed reviews upon release but has since gained a cult following.

Storyline
A poor village girl named Sahibaan falls in love with a labourer named Gopi. A rich and powerful womaniser named Vijay wants to marry her. When Sahibaan refuses, Vijay uses his influence to destroy Gopi. Sahibaan must fight against money and power to save her love.
