Santaan (1993) is a Hindi-language drama film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. It stars Jeetendra, Moushumi Chatterjee, Deepak Tijori, and Neelam Kothari. The story follows Sarju Narayan, a security guard who sacrifices everything for his son Amar, only to be betrayed when Amar rejects his parents for wealth. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Surigaadu (1992) and features music by Anand–Milind with lyrics by Sameer. It was produced by D. Ramanaidu under the Suresh Productions banner. The film received attention for its emotional narrative and strong performances, particularly from Jeetendra and Moushumi Chatterjee. Storyline
Sarju Narayan is a poor security guard who works hard to give his son Amar a good life. But Amar grows up greedy and ashamed of his parents. He lies to marry a rich girl and turns his parents into servants. When his mother falls ill, Amar refuses to help. Sarju must take his own son to court to get justice.
