Tahqiqaa(1993)
Tahqiqaat (transl. Investigation) is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language thriller film directed by A. Jagannathan. The film stars Jeetendra in a dual role as Father Prem Fernandes and Police Superintendent Arun Kumar, with Aditya Pancholi, Sangeeta Bijlani, and Ronit Roy in supporting roles. The story follows a Catholic priest who is murdered after witnessing a crime, and his twin brother, a police officer, who investigates the case. The narrative explores themes of power, corruption, and justice in a small town controlled by a wealthy millionaire. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Post Mortem (1982) and was the only Hindi film directed by A. Jagannathan. It was produced by K. C. Bokadia under the BMB Productions banner and features music composed by Anu Malik. The film was released in 1993 and received mixed reviews, with praise for Jeetendra's double performance.
