Dharavi(1992)
'Dharavi' (also known as 'City of Dreams') is a 1992 Hindi drama film written and directed by Sudhir Mishra. It stars Om Puri as Raj Karan Yadav and Shabana Azmi as his wife. The story follows a taxi driver living in Dharavi, one of the world's largest slums, as he tries to escape poverty through a risky business scheme. The film is set against the backdrop of Mumbai's sprawling slums and captures life on the brink of India's economic liberalization. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi in 1992, along with awards for Best Music Direction and Best Editing. 'Dharavi' was also screened at the London Film Festival and other international festivals.

Storyline
Raj Karan Yadav is a taxi driver trapped in Dharavi, the biggest slum in the world. He dreams of escaping poverty and giving his family a better life. But when he invests everything in a dubious scheme, he falls into the hands of corrupt politicians and local goons. His dream becomes a fight for survival.
