Inspector Dhanush(1991)
Inspector Dhanush is a 1991 Hindi action drama film directed by Shyam Ramsay and Tulsi Ramsay. The film stars Kannada superstar Vishnuvardhan in a dual role as Inspector Dhanush and his twin brother Vishnu Dada. Suresh Oberoi plays Commissioner Avinash, the corrupt police chief. Sangeeta Bijlani and Roopa Ganguly appear as the female leads. The story follows an honest cop who is killed by criminals and replaced by his gangster twin to infiltrate the crime syndicate. The film is an unofficial remake of the 1976 Shatrughan Sinha starrer Kalicharan. It was shot in Hindi and Kannada simultaneously. The Kannada version was a commercial success, while the Hindi version underperformed at the box office. The film features action sequences and a dramatic plot about identity and revenge. It was released in 1991 with a runtime of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Storyline
Inspector Dhanush is a ruthless cop who kills criminals without mercy. When he is murdered by a crime lord, the police commissioner forces Dhanush's twin brother — a gangster — to take his place. The brother must pretend to be the dead inspector and destroy the criminal empire from the inside.
