
Naan(2012)
Naan (English: Me) is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film written and directed by Jeeva Shankar in his directorial debut. The film stars Vijay Antony in the lead role as a psychopathic killer, with Siddharth Venugopal and Rupa Manjari in supporting roles. The story follows a brilliant but disturbed young man who steals the identity of a dead passenger after a bus accident and enrolls in a medical college. He murders his friends to protect his secret and successfully impersonates his victims. The film is loosely based on the 1999 American film The Talented Mr. Ripley. It received positive reviews for its gripping narrative and Vijay Antony's performance. The film was remade in Bengali as Amanush 2 (2015) and in Kannada as Asthitva (2016). A sequel titled Salim was released in 2014. The film was released on 15 August 2012.

Storyline
A poor orphan named Karthik witnesses a bus accident and steals the identity of a dead passenger named Mohammed Salim. He uses the new identity to enter a medical college and build a better life. But when his rich friend Ashok discovers the truth, Karthik must kill to keep his secret safe.
