
Oopiri(2016)
Oopiri (transl. Breath) is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language comedy-drama film directed by Vamshi Paidipally. It stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthi, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The story follows a quadriplegic billionaire and his ex-convict caretaker who form an unlikely friendship. The film is a remake of the French film The Intouchables. It was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, with the Tamil version titled Thozha. Principal photography took place in Chennai, Hyderabad, Paris, Belgrade, and Novi Sad. The film received critical acclaim for its performances, direction, and cinematography. It won two Filmfare Awards South including Best Director and Best Cinematography. Oopiri was released theatrically on 25 March 2016.

Storyline
