Trivia

  • The film's director, Narasimha Rao Relangi, is the grandson of the legendary comedian Relangi Venkatramaiah from classic Telugu cinema.
  • The movie is a modern retelling of a popular folk tale about disrespecting Lord Ganesha and facing consequences from his divine vehicle, the mouse.
  • Actor Saptagiri, known for his comic roles, plays a key supporting character, adding to the film's humor beyond the main lead.
  • The climax and resolution involving the mouse were achieved with a mix of practical effects and basic CGI, which was a talking point upon release.
  • Despite its fantasy-comedy premise, the film performed modestly at the box office and did not spawn a sequel as initially hinted.
  • The soundtrack was composed by Anup Rubens, marking one of his lesser-known works compared to his bigger hits in the same period.
  • Parts of the film were shot in and around Hyderabad, including at the famous Chilkur Balaji Temple, which is known for its unique customs.
