Peranbu (released internationally as Resurrection) is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Ram. The film stars Mammootty, Anjali, Sadhana, and Anjali Ameer in lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music and score. The story follows Amudhavan, a single father who returns from Dubai to raise his teenage daughter Pappa, who has cerebral palsy, after his wife abandons them. The film examines how society treats people with disabilities and those who care for them. It won the Best Film award at the Zee Cine Awards Tamil and topped IMDb's list of highest-rated Indian films of 2019. The film was released theatrically on 1 February 2019.
