Madaari is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language social thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. The film stars Irrfan Khan as Nirmal Kumar, a grieving father who kidnaps the son of a corrupt Home Minister. Jimmy Shergill plays journalist Nachiket Verma, and Vishesh Bansal plays the kidnapped boy Rohan Goswami. The story follows Nirmal's quest for justice after his son dies in a flyover collapse caused by government corruption. The film was produced by Shailesh R Singh, Madan Paliwal, Sutapa Sikdar, and Shailja Kejriwal. Music was composed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Madaari received positive reviews for its performances and social commentary. It grossed approximately ₹18 crore worldwide. The film was released on 22 July 2016.

Storyline
A middle-class father loses his young son when a corruptly built flyover collapses. The police and politicians ignore his pleas for justice. Desperate and angry, he kidnaps the son of the Home Minister. He demands that the minister admit his role in the corruption. The system fights back, but the father refuses to back down.
