En Thangai Kalyani is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language drama film written, directed, and produced by T. Rajendar. The film stars T. Rajendar as Velu and Sudha Swarnalakshmi as Kalyani, with Srividya, Senthamarai, and Vigdass in supporting roles. The story follows Velu, a brother who fiercely protects his sister Kalyani after their father abandons the family. When Kalyani marries a fraudulent man against Velu's wishes, her life descends into abuse and danger. The film is notable for featuring T. Rajendar's real-life son Silambarasan as a child artist, who won the Best Child Artist award at the 10th Cinema Express Awards. The soundtrack was composed by T. Rajendar and features nine songs sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and K. S. Chithra. The film was released on 5 February 1988.

Storyline
Velu loves his sister Kalyani more than anything. He works hard to give her a good life and sends her to college. But Kalyani falls in love with Kannan, a man Velu knows is a fraud. She marries him against Velu's wishes. Kannan treats her badly and lives with another woman. Velu must decide if he can forgive his sister and save her from the danger she walked into.
