'Katha Nayagan' is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Muktha Srinivasan. The film stars Pandiarajan, S. V. Sekhar, Rekha, and Manorama in lead roles. It is a remake of the 1987 Malayalam film 'Nadodikkattu'. The story follows two unemployed friends who are tricked into boarding a boat to Dubai but end up in Kerala. There, a drug smuggling gang mistakes them for CID officers. The film is known for its lighthearted humour and the chemistry between the lead actors. It was released on 20 May 1988 and became a commercial success.

Storyline
Two jobless friends, Mani and Ramani, dream of working in Dubai. They give their savings to a fraud agent who puts them on a boat. The boat takes them to Kerala instead of Dubai. In Kerala, a drug smuggling gang mistakes them for police officers. The friends must survive the confusion without knowing the truth.
