Kodaimazhai(1986)
Kodai Mazhai is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Muktha S. Sundar in his directorial debut. The film stars Vidhyasree in the lead role, with Lakshmi, Jaishankar, and Sripriya in supporting roles. The story follows Vidya, a schoolgirl with a passion for dance, who faces exploitation when a wealthy man offers to help her career. The film was one of the earliest South Indian movies to use high-speed negative film for low-light scenes. It was praised by critics for handling the subject of artistic innocence without mixing love and lust. The soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Kodai Mazhai was released on 26 September 1986.
