Karungali is a 2011 Tamil-language psychological thriller film written and directed by Kalanjiyam. The cast includes Kalanjiyam, Srinivas, Anjali, and Sunitha Verma in lead roles, with Asmitha and Alex in supporting parts. The story follows Dr. Kanimozhi, who marries a violent criminal named Pottalam Ravi after he saves her life, only to discover his predatory nature when he targets one of her patients. The film was produced by Vivekanandan with music by Srikanth Deva and editing by LVK Doss. Critics panned the film for its crude handling of sensitive themes, calling it a cheap sex thriller. Storyline

Dr. Kanimozhi falls for a violent criminal named Ravi after he saves her life. She marries him hoping to change him, but his true nature returns. When Ravi targets one of her patients, a vulnerable woman unable to have children, Kanimozhi must stop her own husband from becoming a predator.
