Naan Paadum Padal(1984)
Naan Paadum Paadal is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by R. Sundarrajan. The film stars Sivakumar, Mohan, Ambika, and Pandiyan in lead roles. The story follows Gowri, a widowed school teacher who gave up singing after her husband's death, and Subramani, a novelist who helps her heal. The film is based on a true incident and was shot primarily in Kanyakumari at locations such as Tirparappu Waterfalls and Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, which includes songs set in ragas Patdeep and Yamunakalyani. The film received positive reviews for its elegant storytelling and memorable characters. It was remade in Telugu as Mangalya Bandham in 1985. Naan Paadum Paadal was released on 14 April 1984.

Storyline
A widowed school teacher named Gowri has given up singing and love after her husband's sudden death. When a mysterious novelist named Subramani moves into her housing complex, she slowly discovers that he is her favorite author. As they grow closer, Gowri must decide whether to stay loyal to her past or embrace a second chance at happiness.
