Amma is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Rajasekhar and produced by AVM Productions. It stars Saritha and Pratap Pothen in lead roles. The story follows two couples whose relationships are tested when a hidden secret from the past comes to light. The film explores themes of sacrifice, forgiveness, and the protective love of a mother figure. The soundtrack was composed by Shankar–Ganesh with lyrics by Vairamuthu, and the song 'Mazhaiye Mazhaiye' gained popularity. Despite positive reviews for its acting and story, the film failed commercially at the box office. It was released on 24 June 1982.
