The cast includes Bharathiraja, Sudhakar, Mucherla Aruna, and Vijayashanti in her Tamil debut. The story follows two village girls who fall in love with a film director and actor during a location shoot. The film explores themes of innocent love, rejection, and sudden violence. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, which includes the popular song 'Siru Ponmani'. The film received positive reviews for its performances and cinematography. It was released on 29 February 1980.

Storyline
