'Soundaryame Varuga Varuga' is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language romance film written and directed by C. V. Sridhar. The cast includes Sivachandran, Sathaar, Sripriya, and Rati Agnihotri. The story follows a young man who travels to America for work while his lover waits for him in their village. The film explores themes of long-distance love, family pressure, and sacrifice. Sridhar originally planned to shoot the entire film in the United States. The soundtrack, composed by Vijaya Bhaskar with lyrics by Vaali, became popular. Critics praised the music and performances but found the story weak. The film was released on 15 January 1980.
