Kavitha (Kavitha Dasaratharaj), born September 28, 1965, is an Indian actress who has appeared in over 350 Telugu films as well as Tamil and Kannada productions, primarily known for character and supporting roles spanning four decades. She made her screen debut as a child artist in the 1976 films Siri Siri Muvva (Telugu) and O Manju (Tamil), later taking on adult roles in films such as Nadodi Thendral (1992), Poochudava (1997), Gudumba Shankar (2004), and Routine Love Story (2012). A recurring presence in family and drama films, she frequently portrayed mother figures and pivotal supporting characters alongside lead stars across Telugu and Tamil cinema. She joined the Telugu Desam Party in 2008, and suffered a personal tragedy in 2021 when both her husband and son passed away due to COVID-19.
