Sujatha(1980)
Sujatha is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Mohan. The cast includes Vijayan, Shankar, Saritha, Sukumari, Rajalakshmi, and Major Sundarrajan. The story follows a young woman forced into an arranged marriage by her authoritarian father. Her brother commits suicide to stop the wedding, leaving her grief-stricken. She later finds love with a progressive college lecturer who helps her heal. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Shalini Ente Koottukari. It received praise for its acting, cinematography, music, and direction. The soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. Sujatha was released on 26 September 1980.

Storyline
