Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum(1979)
Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum is a 1979 Indian fantasy film directed by I. V. Sasi. It stars Kamal Haasan as Alavuddin, Rajinikanth as Kamaruddin, Jayabharathi as Princess Roshni, and Sripriya as Jameela. The story follows a poor street urchin who finds a magical lamp and uses a genie to rescue his beloved princess from a kidnapper. The film was simultaneously shot in Malayalam and Tamil, marking Sasi's Tamil directorial debut. It was shot in CinemaScope but was not the first Malayalam film in that format due to production delays. The soundtrack was composed by G. Devarajan with lyrics by Yusufali Kechery for Malayalam and Vaali and Kannadasan for Tamil. The film received mixed reviews upon release but is remembered for bringing together two major stars of Indian cinema.

Storyline
Alavuddin is a poor young man living on the streets of Baghdad. He falls in love with Princess Roshni, but a powerful commander and a cunning courtier both want her for themselves. When the courtier kidnaps the princess, Alavuddin must team up with his rival, discover a magical lamp, and use a genie's power to save her.
