Mayakkam Enna is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language psychological drama film written and directed by Selvaraghavan. It stars Dhanush as Karthik Swaminathan, a freelance photographer, and Richa Gangopadhyay in her Tamil debut as Yamini. The story follows Karthik's obsessive pursuit of a career in wildlife photography, his betrayal by his idol, and his subsequent descent into alcoholism and domestic abuse. The film features music by G. V. Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Ramji. Storyline
Karthik is a struggling freelance photographer in Chennai. He dreams of becoming a wildlife photographer like his idol. When his idol steals his photograph and wins an award, Karthik's world collapses. He turns to alcohol and becomes abusive toward his wife Yamini. Can he overcome his demons and reclaim his life?
