Chittu Kuruvi(1978)
Chittu Kuruvi is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Devaraj–Mohan. The film stars Sivakumar in a dual role as Raja and Ganesh, alongside Sumithra, Meera, and Srikanth. The story follows a gangster who accidentally frames his innocent lookalike for murder after dropping a hotel room key. Set partly in Madras and partly in the fictional village Thalapathikottai, the film explores mistaken identity, love, and the inescapable consequences of crime. Ilaiyaraaja's soundtrack, particularly the song 'En Kanmani', was noted for its early use of counterpoint in Indian film music. The film was shot entirely in 20 days in villages near Mysore, including Talakadu and Malangi. It was released on 9 June 1978.

Storyline
A ruthless gangster named Raja kills an informer and accidentally drops the key to his hotel room. A poor lookalike named Ganesh finds the key and returns it, only to be framed for the murder. While Ganesh fights to prove his innocence, Raja hides in his village and falls in love with a coracle driver named Chittu. Their lives collide in a tragic climax.
