Idhaya Malar is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film co-directed by Gemini Ganesan and Thamarai Manaalan. It stars Sujatha, Gemini Ganesan, and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. The story follows Radha, a young woman who discovers she was married as a child and must choose between her love for Mohan and her duty to an old promise. Based on Maniyan's novel Ninaivugal Nilaikkatum, the film explores themes of sacrifice, duty, and unfulfilled love. It is notable as the only film directed by Gemini Ganesan. The film was shot in black-and-white and received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. It was released on 3 September 1976.

Storyline
