Oorukku Uzhaippavan is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by M. Krishnan Nair. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran in a dual role as Selvam, an undercover policeman, and Raja, a wealthy industrialist. Vanisri and Vennira Aadai Nirmala play the female leads. The story follows Selvam as he replaces Raja to infiltrate a gang that cheats rich businessmen. The film was a remake of the 1970 Kannada film Baalu Belagithu. It was produced by Venus Pictures and features music by M. S. Viswanathan. The film was shot in Mysore and Bangalore. It was released on 12 November 1976 and received positive reviews for its cast, songs, and cinematography.

Storyline
An honest policeman named Selvam discovers he looks exactly like a wealthy industrialist named Raja. When a dangerous gang targets Raja, Selvam agrees to take his place. He must live a double life, catch the criminals, and protect Raja's family — all while hiding his true identity from the woman he loves.
