Swami Ayyappan(1975)
Swami Ayyappan is a 1975 Indian Hindu mythological film directed and produced by P. Subramaniam. It was simultaneously shot in Malayalam and Tamil languages. The cast includes Gemini Ganesan, Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair, Master Raghu, Srividya, and Lakshmi. The story follows the birth of Lord Ayyappan, his adoption by King Pandalam Raja, and his battle against the demoness Mahishi. The film won four Kerala State Film Awards including Best Film with Popular Appeal and Best Child Artist. It was a critical and commercial success. The song Harivarasanam became a nightly ritual at Sabarimala Temple. The film was released on 17 August 1975.

Storyline
A baby with a golden bell is found in a forest by a childless king. The boy, Manikandan, grows up with divine powers. A jealous queen sends him on a deadly mission to fetch tiger's milk. In the forest, he faces the demoness Mahishi and reveals his true identity as Lord Ayyappan.
