Manidharil Manikkam is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by C. V. Rajendran. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan as Dr. Ananth, a compassionate eye specialist, alongside Prameela, A. V. M. Rajan, and Major Sundarrajan. The story follows Dr. Ananth as he treats poor patients for free and faces false accusations from jealous colleagues. The film was inspired by a real conjunctivitis specialist in Madras. It received praise for transforming an ordinary plot into an engaging emotional narrative. The music was composed by M. S. Storyline
Dr. Ananth is a kind eye doctor who treats poor patients without charging money. He rescues a young woman from a thief and promises to save a blind boy. But jealous enemies frame him for murder and send him to jail. Now he must fight to clear his name and return in time to save the boy's sight.
