Magarasi(1967)
Magarasi (transl. Blessed Girl) is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam. The film stars Jayalalithaa and Ravichandran in lead roles, with Nagesh providing comedic relief. The story follows a young woman considered a blessing to her family as she fights to protect her family's honor from greedy villains. The film is notable for being the debut of the music composer duo Shankar–Ganesh, who were recommended by poet Kannadasan. Despite a release during the Tamil New Year festival, the film failed at the box office due to competition from Pattanathil Bhootham. Critics praised Nagesh's comedy but criticized the music and writing.
