Pandhayam(1967)
Pandhayam is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and produced by A. Kasilingam. The film stars Gemini Ganesan and Vijaya Nirmala in lead roles. The story follows Raju, a family man whose secret gambling addiction leads him to lose his home and family. He eventually reforms and rebuilds his life through honest work. The film was praised by Kalki magazine for its story and cast performances. It was remade in Hindi as Sachaai (1969) and in Telugu as Manchi Mitrulu (1969). The soundtrack was composed by T. R. Pappa with lyrics by Kannadasan. Pandhayam was released on 29 September 1967.

Storyline
Raju is a loving husband and father who secretly gambles every night. He believes one big win will solve all his money problems. But professional cheaters trick him, and he loses everything — his savings, his house, and his family. Raju must decide if he can change his ways and earn back the people he loves.
