Kodi Malar(1966)
Kodi Malar is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by C.V. Sridhar. The film stars Muthuraman as Ramu and R. Vijayakumari as Lakshmi, with A.V.M. Rajan, Nagesh, M.V. Rajamma, and Kanchana in supporting roles. The story follows a mute woman who faces relentless cruelty from her mother-in-law after marriage. It is a remake of the Bengali film Shyamali (1956), which was based on a play by Debnarayan Gupta. The film was produced by Sree Productions, with cinematography by Balu and editing by N.M. Shankar. Music was composed by M.S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Kannadasan. Despite Vijayakumari's praised performance, the film received mixed reviews and failed commercially. It was released on 4 March 1966.

Storyline
