Yaar Nee? is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language psychological thriller film directed by Sathyam and produced by P. S. Veerappa. The film stars Jaishankar as Dr. Anand and Jayalalithaa in a dual role as Sandhya and her twin sister Mohini. The story follows Dr. Anand, a respected doctor who encounters a mysterious woman on a rainy night, leading to a series of eerie events that make him question his sanity. The plot involves a hidden twin, a greedy cousin, and a staged supernatural conspiracy. The film is a remake of the 1964 Hindi film Woh Kaun Thi?. It was a box office success, and Jayalalithaa won the Madras Filmfans Association Award for Best Actress for her performance. The music was composed by Vedha, reusing tunes from the original Hindi version. Yaar Nee? was released on 14 April 1966.
