Ananthi(1965)
Ananthi is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by P. Neelakantan and produced by A. L. Srinivasan under ALS Productions. The film stars S. S. Rajendran and C. R. Vijayakumari in lead roles, with M. R. Radha, M. N. Nambiar, Nagesh, Manorama, S. V. Sahasranamam, V. K. Ramasamy, and Manimala in supporting roles. The story follows a young woman who sacrifices her love to marry a cruel moneylender's son in order to save her father from debt. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Kannadasan, and the song 'Kannilae Anbirundhal' became popular. The film received average box office performance but is noted for its emotional narrative and strong performances. It was released on 27 December 1965.

Storyline
Ananthi loves Somu, a poor but honest young man. But her father owes a huge debt to the ruthless moneylender Ambalavaanan. To save her family, Ananthi agrees to marry the moneylender's cruel son. Her life becomes a nightmare, and Somu must fight to rescue her.
