Karthigai Dheepam(1965)
Karthigai Deepam is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by A. Kasilingam. It stars S. A. Ashokan, C. Vasantha, K. Vijayan, and Leelavathi. The story follows a devoted husband who promises his wife she will never cry, but a jealous rival's lies threaten to destroy their marriage. The film explores themes of love, trust, sacrifice, and redemption. It was praised by Kalki magazine for the performances of Ashokan and Leelavathi, though Ashokan was noted for occasional overacting. The music was composed by R. Sudarsanam with lyrics by Alangudi Somu. The film was released on 30 April 1965.

Storyline
