Vennira Aadai(1965)
Vennira Aadai (transl. White Dress) is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language romance film co-written, produced, and directed by C. V. Sridhar. It stars Jayalalithaa, Nirmala, Shylashri, Srikanth, and Moorthy, all in their Tamil cinema debut. The story follows a psychiatrist who travels to Kodaikanal to treat a mentally unstable young widow. He must uncover her traumatic past to heal her, but his own love life becomes entangled. The film was inspired by the American film David and Lisa (1962). It received an 'A' certificate from the CBFC due to a controversial song sequence. Vennira Aadai was released on 14 April 1965 and became a commercial success.

Storyline
A famous psychiatrist named Chandru leaves his lover Geetha to treat a mentally unstable young widow named Shobha in Kodaikanal. As he helps her heal, she falls in love with him. Chandru must choose between his duty to his patient and his love for Geetha.
