Engal Selvi(1960)
Engal Selvi (1960) is a Tamil-language drama film directed by D. Yoganand and produced by T. E. Vasudevan. The film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Anjali Devi in lead roles, with Baby Uma playing the titular daughter. The story follows a married couple whose young daughter goes missing at a fair, leading to years of separation, blame, and eventual reunion. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Lajwanti (1958). It is notable for featuring a real wrestling match between Dara Singh and King Kong. The Indian Express praised the performances of Anjali Devi, Nageswara Rao, and Baby Uma for their convincing portrayal of a family in crisis. The film was released in 1960 and later dubbed into Telugu as Kanna Kuthuru.

Storyline
A happy couple, Kamala and Raghu, lose their young daughter Selvi at a fair. Raghu blames Kamala and throws her out of the house. Years later, Kamala discovers Selvi is alive and living nearby. She must convince her bitter husband and win back her daughter's love.
