
Kaithi Kannayiram(1960)
Kaithi Kannayiram (transl. Prisoner Kannayiram) is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language crime film written and directed by A. S. A. Sami. The film stars R. S. Manohar as the titular prisoner and Rajasulochana as his wife. It follows a man who is wrongfully imprisoned and escapes to rescue a kidnapped child. The story is set in a small town and revolves around a jailor's son taken by a vengeful inmate. The film is a remake of the 1959 Hindi film Qaidi No. 911. It was produced by T. R. Sundaram under the Modern Theatres banner. The soundtrack was composed by K. V. Mahadevan and features the popular song 'Konji Konji Pesi'. The film was released on 1 December 1960 and became a commercial success.

Storyline
A prisoner named Kannayiram is jailed for a crime he did not commit. When the jailor's young son is kidnapped by a vengeful inmate, Kannayiram escapes to rescue the boy. He must find the hidden child before the jailor catches him. A song becomes the only clue to the boy's location.
