Daddy(1989)
Daddy is a 1989 Hindi television drama directed by Mahesh Bhatt for Doordarshan. The film stars Anupam Kher as Anand Sarin, an alcoholic father, and Pooja Bhatt as his devoted daughter Pinky. The supporting cast includes Manohar Singh, Soni Razdan, Neena Gupta, and Sulbha Arya. The story follows Pinky's relentless efforts to save her father from his addiction. The film features music by Rajesh Roshan with lyrics by Suraj Sanim, including the popular ghazal 'Aaina Mujhse Meri Pehli Si Surat Maange' sung by Talat Aziz. Storyline
Anand Sarin is a loving father trapped by alcohol addiction. His young daughter Pinky watches him destroy his life and family. She decides to fight his addiction alone, begging him to quit and seeking help from everyone around her. But Anand keeps relapsing. Pinky must decide if her love can save him or if she must let him hit rock bottom.
