
Eeshwar(1989)
Eeshwar is a 1989 Hindi drama film written and directed by K. Vishwanath. The film stars Anil Kapoor as Ishwar, a simple-minded laborer, and Vijayashanti as Lalita, a young widow. Set in a rural Indian village, the story follows Ishwar as he marries Lalita and faces opposition from her wealthy in-laws who seek custody of her son. The film explores themes of innocence, family, and social prejudice against widows. It is the Hindi remake of Vishwanath's Telugu film Swathi Muthyam (1986). Eeshwar won the Filmfare Award for Best Story and received nominations for Best Actor and Best Actress. The film was released on 24 February 1989.

Storyline
