Gandhinagar 2nd Street is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikad. It stars Mohanlal in the lead role as Sethu, an unemployed youth who pretends to be a Nepali Gurkha security guard named Ram Singh. The supporting cast includes Karthika, Seema, Sreenivasan, Thilakan, Innocent, Sukumari, and K. P. A. C. Lalitha. Mammootty appears in a cameo as Balachandran. The story follows Sethu as he navigates a fake identity, rekindles an old romance, and deals with colony gossip. The film was a commercial success and completed over 250 days in theatres. It was remade in Telugu as Gandhinagar Rendava Veedhi and in Tamil as Annanagar Mudhal Theru. The music was composed by Shyam.
