Love and God(1986)
Love and God is a 1986 Indian Hindi-language romantic tragedy film directed by K. Asif. It stars Sanjeev Kumar as Kais and Nimmi as Laila. The film is based on the ancient Arab legend of Laila and Majnun. It depicts the forbidden love between the son of the Emir of Yemen and the daughter of the Emir of Basra. Their families are locked in a generations-old feud. The lovers meet in secret but are separated by family honor. Kais loses his sanity and becomes known as Majnu. Laila is forced into marriage. The film is notable for its troubled production spanning over two decades. It was released incomplete after the deaths of its original lead and director. The music was composed by Naushad.

Storyline
