Shart(1986)
Shart is a 1986 Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Ketan Anand. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Kanwaljit Singh, Sarika, and Tom Alter. The story follows Inspector Arjun Dutt as he investigates a series of brutal murders of prostitutes in the city. The only clue is a torn piece of a photograph. Dutt discovers that the killer is his close friend Vikram, who leads a double life as Devendra. The investigation becomes personal as both men love the same woman, Kiran. The film explores themes of friendship, betrayal, and the dark side of revenge. It was released on 21 February 1986.
