Storyline

An architect moves to Lucknow for work and forbids his mother from leaving their house. When she disobeys, he sells their home and plans to move to Pakistan, but a violent confrontation leaves him turning to alcohol and a courtesan. His mother forces him into a marriage with a neighbor's daughter, but he continues visiting the brothel, hoping to reunite with his old love, while his new wife refuses to give up on him.
